Lesson 8 - The Power of Video Marketing using YouTube Video Networks

Go to your office or wherever you have your video camera RIGHT NOW, slap it on a tri-pod, hit record and start talking about your product and service for 5 minutes, and then upload it to YouTube! Don't forget to burp while you are talking (and make sure you pretend it was on purpose).

You think I am kidding and I'm NOT. The power of video marketing is unlike anything you have ever seen. One STUPID video, poorly made, about a product that no one (any sane person) would want to buy was put on YouTube, had over 25,000 site hits, had over 5,000 twitter hits (following for the person submitting the video) and sales that exceed 3,000 purchases within one month totaling $89,970.00 dollars for a product that sold for $29.99.

Ok, so I was somewhat kidding about the burping, but for all you tight shirt business professionals out there, if your video is not funny, eye-appealing, humorous, or worth sending on to others people then don't bother making a YouTube Video. Viral marketing is just that, having people market for you. In order to do that, you have to give them a reason to want to. With so much content on the web, you have to use extreme tactics to get the people working for you. Video is one way of doing this.

So maybe you don't want to get crazy and make an ass of yourself or your company and that is fine. There is more than one way to present yourself or your product and service. Let me tell you about the power of video for the average joe blow submitting a video on YouTube alone.

This video, is only one of several that was produced on YouTube with over of 8,338,000 views. Now imagine, if this was a video of your product or service. Literally Millions of videos are on YouTube with millions of these videos being off poor quality and sound with hits ranging from the thousands to the millions.

Here is how it works:

First create a video with your camera you have at home. Set it up and spend about 10 minutes putting a script together. Turn it on and start talking about your product or service. Now if you are clever you can use windows movie maker to edit your videos adding a link back to your website. If you can make your video interesting enough, with something funny, bloopers or anything other then just talking into the camera, people will find it funny and email the link to their friends. In no time at all, thousands are viewing your video and going to your website and that is instant hits and instant brand awareness. Depending on your product or service offering chances of you making allot of sales are extremely high. That's it! You have nothing to lose. Try it, and if you don't think you have the talent to do it, have some one else!

Of course I left out all the real juicy stuff until later. I have a way of driving over 10,000 plus people to your website in less than a 72 hours with just one video... However, we cant give everything away now. I will have those methods and how to drive that much traffic to you soon. I promise! If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it... That's just the thing, everyone is!
